CS/SB 1508: Life Insurance & Annuity Contracts

GENERAL BILL by Banking and Insurance ; Garcia ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Margolis

Life Insurance & Annuity Contracts; provides that certificate of authority is not required of insurers domiciled outside U.S. for certain life insurance policies or annuity contracts covering only persons who are not residents of U.S. & are not nonresidents illegally residing in U.S.; provides criteria, requirements, & limitations; provides for Insurance Regulation Office to determine when insurer is no longer eligible for exemption, etc. Amends 624.402.
