GENERAL BILL by Insurance Committee ; Ross ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Farkas ; Homan ; Waters

Residential Property Insurance; revises provisions re calculation of insurer's retention for purposes of reimbursement from Fla. Hurricane Catastrophe Fund; prohibits insurers from canceling or nonrenewing residential property insurance policies under certain emergency circumstances; extends effective date of certain policies under certain hurricane circumstances; authorizes insurer to collect premium for extended period, etc. Amends 215.555, 627.4133,.4143,.701.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
