GENERAL BILL by Judiciary Committee ; Simmons ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Cannon ; Carroll ; Grimsley ; Homan ; Murzin ; Ross ; Stargel

Negligence; provides that person seeking damages for slip & fall on transitory foreign substance in commercial establishment must prove that said establishment had actual knowledge of condition or constructive knowledge of condition; redefines term "negligence cases" as it relates to comparative fault to include claims for negligent security in which defendant is sued for failing to prevent commission of intentional tort, etc. Amends & Reenacts FS.
