SB 2378: Cancer Research & Treatment Act

GENERAL BILL by Fasano ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Smith ; King ; Rich ; Dockery ; Wise ; Crist

Cancer Research & Treatment Act; (THIS BILL COMBINED IN CS/1872 & 2378) deletes obsolete provision directing deposit & payment of cigarette tax funds; provides for deposit of portion of cigarette tax funds into Cancer Research & Treatment TF for certain uses by Fla. Cancer Council; requires council to use cigarette tax collection distributions; specifies allocations of certain funds in said TF; requires Governor & Cabinet approval for capital const. projects, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $250,000,000.
