CS/SB 2578: Discretionary Surtax on Documents
GENERAL BILL by Government Efficiency Appropriations ; Atwater
Discretionary Surtax on Documents; authorizes certain counties operating under home rule charter to levy discretionary surtax for purposes of establishing & funding Housing Assistance Loan Trust Fund to assist in providing housing for low-income & moderate-income families; prohibits certain counties from levying surtax unless approved by majority of electors of county voting in referendum, etc. Amends 125.0167, 201.031, 201.0205.
