CS/SB 1754: Ethics Commission/Lobbyist

GENERAL BILL by Ethics and Elections ; Posey ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dockery ; Argenziano

Ethics Commission/Lobbyist; prohibits individual who qualifies as lobbyist from serving on Commission on Ethics; prohibits member of commission from lobbying any state or local govt. entity; provides exceptions for individuals who are members of commission on July 1, 2006, until expiration of their current terms; prohibits member of Legislature from accepting compensation from agency or business entity receiving state funds; provides penalties. Amends 112.321,.313.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
