CS/SB 708: Interference with Custody

GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Judiciary ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Lynn

Interference with Custody; specifies that offense of interference with custody applies to taking of minor; revises defense for person who is victim of domestic violence to require that interference with custody is necessary to escape violence or to preserve minor or incompetent person from exposure to violence; broadens exception from statute beyond spouse to include certain other persons who take minor or said person & follow prescribed procedures, etc. Amends 787.03.
