CS/SB 474: Rosa Parks Act [LPCC]
GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Hill
Rosa Parks Act [LPCC]; creates said act; encourages Board of Executive Clemency to grant full pardon to person convicted of protesting or challenging state law or local govt. ordinance the purpose of which was to maintain racial segregation of or racial discrimination against individuals; requires that pardon be granted unless state attorney files objection with comm. on grounds that conviction did not result from violation of law or ordinance, etc. Amends Ch. 940.
