SB 1280: Criminal Conduct/Child Abuse and Neglect [SPCC]

GENERAL BILL by Aronberg ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Storms

Criminal Conduct/Child Abuse and Neglect [SPCC]; Defines "mental injury." Exempts acts protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution or s. 4, Art. I of the State Constitution from prohibitions on child abuse, aggravated child abuse, and neglect. Redefines the term "crime" for purposes of crime victims compensation to include felonies or misdemeanors committed by an adult or juvenile which result in psychiatric or psychological injury to a person of less than 18 years of age, etc.
