SB 462: Prevention of Harassment/Public K-12 Schools

GENERAL BILL by Ring

Prevention of Harassment/Public K-12 Schools; Requires school districts to adopt a policy prohibiting harassment, intimidation, or bullying of students by August 1, 2008. Requires the Commissioner of Education to adopt a model policy that school districts may adopt to meet the minimum criteria by December 1, 2008. Requires each school district to include a notice of the policy in each district publication of rules, procedures, and conduct standards, and in any student handbook, etc.
