SB 1900: Defamation/Foreign Judgment [SPSC]
GENERAL BILL by Deutch
Defamation/Foreign Judgment [SPSC]; Provides that a foreign judgment that has been declared to be unenforceable by a circuit court need not be enforced. Authorizes a person to bring an action for a declaratory judgment regarding the enforceability of foreign judgments based on a cause of action for defamation or similar cause of action. Requires a circuit court to declare such foreign judgments unenforceable under certain circumstances.
