GENERAL BILL by Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means ; Criminal Justice ; Transportation ; Altman

Traffic Control/Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Prog. [CPSC]; Preempts to the state the use of cameras to enforce traffic laws. Creates the Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Program. Authorizes the HSMV, a county or municipality to use a traffic infraction detector to identify a motor vehicle that fails to stop at a traffic control signal steady red light. Provides for placement and installation of detectors on certain roads, etc.
