CS/SB 560: Construction Bonds [CPSC]
GENERAL BILL by Regulated Industries ; Bennett
Construction Bonds [CPSC]; Requires that contractors and subcontractors verify payments to local government agencies. Requires that a surety record in the public records a payment bond for a public works construction project. Prohibits the issuing authority for a building permit or a private provider providing inspection services from inspecting the property being improved until the occurrence of certain events. Provides for the expiration of a notice of commencement, etc.
Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
