GENERAL BILL by Full Appropriations Council on Education and Economic Development ; PreK-12 Appropriations Committee ; Flores

Education Funding; Provides for reduction in salary for school district employees under certain circumstances; increases number of students allowed in summer VPK program; eliminates certain eligibility requirements for delivery of VPK program; revises funding for VPK programs; revises provisions relating to transfer of funds to fixed capital outlay; requires maintenance of district general fund balance, etc.

Effective Date: 02/01/2009 or upon becoming a law, whichever occurs later
