GENERAL BILL by Public Safety and Domestic Security Policy Committee ; Weinstein ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Bullard ; Garcia, L. ; Porth ; Sachs

Parole for Adolescent Offenders; Designates act "Second Chance for Children in Prison Act"; provides that adolescent offender who was younger than specified age at time of offense & sentenced to life or 10 years or more in prison is eligible for parole if incarcerated for minimum period, has not previously been convicted of or adjudicated delinquent for certain offenses, & did not commit or threaten to commit act of violence during current offense, etc.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law
