CS/CS/SB 8: Medicaid and Public Assistance Fraud [CPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Health Regulation ; Banking and Insurance ; Negron ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Haridopolos ; Gaetz ; Wilson

Medicaid and Public Assistance Fraud [CPSC]; Establishes the Medicaid and Public Assistance Fraud Strike Force within the Department of Financial Services to coordinate efforts to eliminate Medicaid and public assistance fraud. Directs the Chief Financial Officer to prepare model interagency agreements that address Medicaid and public assistance fraud. Requires Medicaid managed care plans to adopt an anti-fraud plan relating to the provision of health care services, etc.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
