SB 1492: Public School Instruction
GENERAL BILL by Flores
Public School Instruction; Requires Department of Education guidelines for the school district parent guide to include information regarding required parental permission for certain instruction. Authorizes a school district to include a parental consent form in the parent guide. Revises required instruction relating to comprehensive health education. Specifies that a student needs parental permission to be taught reproductive health or sexually transmitted disease education. Conforms provisions and a cross-reference to changes made by the act.
