CS/CS/SB 1528: Secondary Metals Recyclers
GENERAL BILL by Community Affairs ; Commerce and Tourism ; Altman
Secondary Metals Recyclers; Clarifies a provision requiring that a secondhand dealer deliver a transaction form to the appropriate law enforcement official. Requires that a secondary metals recycler complete a transaction form and transmit it to the appropriate law enforcement official within 24 hours after the acquisition of regulated metals. Authorizes such recyclers to use an electronic database and transmit transaction forms electronically under certain circumstances. Authorizes appropriate law enforcement officials to provide software and computer equipment to recyclers, etc.
