CS/SB 380: Training/Certification/Child Welfare Personnel

GENERAL BILL by Children, Families, and Elder Affairs ; Wise

Training/Certification/Child Welfare Personnel; Provides required criteria for the approval of credentialing entities that develop and administer certification programs for persons who provide child welfare serves. Revises the use of the Child Welfare Training Trust Fund within the Department of Children and Family Services. Requires persons who provide child welfare services to be certified by a third-party credentialing entity. Allows entities to contract for training. Requires persons to master core competencies. Authorizes approval of third-party credentialing entities, etc.
