CS/SB 1800: Sex Offenses
GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Altman
Sex Offenses; Providing that voluntary disclosure of specified information waives a disclosure exemption for such information; adding additional offenses to the list of sexual predator qualifying offenses; requiring disclosure of additional information during the sexual predator registration process; providing criminal penalties for knowingly providing false registration information by act or omission; revising criteria applicable to provisions allowing removal from the requirement to register as a sexual offender; authorizing the court to require sexual offenders and sexual predators who are on probation or community control to undergo an evaluation to determine whether the offender or predator needs sexual offender treatment; requiring disclosure of additional registration information by certain sexual offenders adjudicated delinquent and certain juvenile sexual offenders, etc.
