CS/CS/SB 1866: Department of Transportation
GENERAL BILL by Budget ; Transportation ; Latvala
Department of Transportation; Providing that the district secretaries and the executive directors of the Department of Transportation may be registered professional engineers in accordance with the laws of another state; increasing funding for the Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development Program; requiring the local governmental authority to bear the costs of work on a utility facility that was initially installed to serve the governmental entity or its tenants; requiring counties and municipalities to indemnify the department from certain claims relating to the installation, removal, or relocation of a noncompliant bench or shelter; amending provisions relating to contracts for transportation projects, turnpike projects, high-speed rail projects, outdoor advertising, and the logo sign program, respectively, etc.
