GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Judiciary ; Children, Families, and Elder Affairs ; Garcia ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Campbell

Child Welfare; Providing that central abuse hotline information may be used for employment screening of residential group home caregivers; providing that confidential records held by the Department of Children and Families concerning reports of child abandonment, abuse, or neglect, including reports made to the central abuse hotline and all records generated as a result of such reports, may be accessed for employment screening of residential group home caregivers; requiring a court to consider maltreatment allegations against a parent in an evidentiary hearing relating to a dependency petition; establishing a shared family care residential services pilot program for substance-exposed newborns, etc. APPROPRIATION: $250,000

Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2017
