GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Banking and Insurance ; Mayfield ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Steube
International Financial Institutions; Redefining the term “financial institution” to include international trust entities and qualified limited service affiliates; specifying conditions under which confidential books and records of international trust entities may be disclosed to their home-country supervisors; deleting international trust companies from requirements for carrying on financial institution business; providing an after-the-fact licensure process in the event of the acquisition, merger, or consolidation of international banking corporations, etc.
Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act and except for this section, which shall take effect upon this act becoming a law, this act shall take effect January 1, 2018
