Hope Operators; Providing that a hope operator that has not been notified that a financial audit for a fiscal year will be performed by the Auditor General must retain an independent certified public accountant to complete, within 9 months after the end of its fiscal year, an annual financial audit of its accounts, which must be paid from its public funds; revising the definition of the term “persistently low-performing school”; authorizing, instead of requiring, a school of hope designated as a local education agency to report students in accordance with procedures and timelines adopted by the Department of Education, etc.
