GENERAL BILL by Children, Families and Seniors Subcommittee ; Roth ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Valdés
Adoption Proceedings; Authorizes court to review DCF decision to deny application to adopt child; provides requirements for department, denied applicant, & court relating to motion to review department's decision; authorizes department to remove child from foster home or custodian; requires department's consent for certain adoptions or, in alternative, specified court order must be attached to petition to adopt; provides that stepparent or relative of minor are not exempted from preliminary home study in certain situations.
