Assessment of Homestead Property; Revising the method of homestead property assessments; requiring that assessments be at the most recent purchase price or, in the case of new construction, the cost of construction; requiring that reassessment be the prior assessed value or a specified calculation; authorizing the Department of Revenue to create a grant program for a certain purpose, etc.
Effective Date: On the effective date of the amendment to the State Constitution proposed by SJR ____, or a similar joint resolution having substantially the same specific intent and purpose, if such amendment is approved at the next general election or at an earlier special election specifically authorized by law for that purpose
