GENERAL BILL by Kincart Jonsson
Agency for Persons with Disabilities; Transfers primary powers & duties certain programs from DOE to APD; requires director of APD & Commissioner of Education to each designate transition coordinator to implement transition; requires agency to administer Federal Rehabilitation Trust Fund; requires agency to implement specified waiver program to address needs of clients as they transition into adulthood & achieve greater independence; authorizes agency, in partnership with AHCA, to seek federal approval through state plan amendment or Medicaid waiver to implement program by specified date; provides program administration, evaluation, & reporting requirements; establishes Statewide Family Care Council for specified purposes.
