415.50185  Outcome evaluation.--

(1)  Pursuant to the provisions of s. 20.19, the department shall evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the family services response system in meeting the purpose and intent of the system, as provided in s. 415.5016, and prepare an outcome evaluation report.

(2)  The outcome evaluation report shall include, but is not limited to, the following information, which the contract providers must maintain and provide:

(a)  The number of families receiving services.

(b)  The number of children placed in emergency shelters, foster care, group homes, or other facilities outside their homes and families.

(c)  The average cost of the services provided to families receiving services.

(d)  An overall statement of the progress of the program, along with recommendations for improvements.

(e)  The effect of the family services response system in reducing the number of children placed outside the home and reducing the number of child protective investigations under part IV.

(3)  In addition to the report required in subsection (1), the department shall provide three status reports to the appropriate substantive committees of the House of Representatives and the Senate on the department's efforts, and the results to date of specific district practices, to implement the family services response system. The reports shall be submitted annually for 3 years beginning January 1, 1995.
