Examples of subprojects that could be funded through this request follow.Contamination Remidiation-Remidiation of Soils with Excessive Residual Pesticide Concentrations in the North Shore Restoration Area( Lake Apopka)- Development of Pollutant Load Reduction Goals for the Harris Chain of Lakes- Enhanced Lake Level Flucuations-Habitat restoration-Planting of Desirable Vegetation on Lake Apopka-Nutrient Loading Reduction-Ocklawaha River Basin Feasibility Study- Phospohorus Concentration Reduction- Construction of Inflow Pump Station for Lake Apopka Marsh Flow-Way, Phase I- Phosphorus Concentration Reduction-North Shore restoration Area(Lake Apopka)-Wetland and Aquatic Habitat restoration

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

Improved water quality( i.e. reduced phosphorus levels):percentage reduction in average phosphorus loading to the Harris Chain of Lakes:increased discharge of floodwaters along the natural flow path that existed between Lake Harris and Griffin before the 1920's:modifications along the Dora Canal to reduce structural flooding:less residual pesticide contaminants in soils:acres of submerged aquatic vegetation.
