Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
It has been shown that dollars spent on community services help to keep our elderly out of assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Funds would allow 200+ residents of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg House and the Shirley H. Gould House (HUD 202, section 8 subsidized housing facilities) to use community resources and to fulfill their needs and basic life sustaining activities. The funds would also allow 20 persons daily to attend adult day care and senior programming offered by the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center in the Adolph and Rose Levis Alzheimer/Adult Day Care Center and the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler Center for Jewish Life Enhancement.
