| Project Description: |
| This funding would be used to build a training facility needed for firearms training and qualifications for law enforcement officers in the City of Miami. Since the Miami Police Training Academy is State certified, other law enforcement agencies can benefit from in-service training courses as well as firearms qualifications. Additionally, Miami voters approved a $10 million bond for a police training facility. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| In addition to better trained oficers, which is critical after the events of September 11th, the City will no longer have to rent other facilities from other agencies. This would save countless time and money as the logistics of getting more than 1000 officers trained and qualified in the use of firearms in a rented facility is inconvinient. Additionally, law enforcement officers throghout the state would have access to this facility. |
