Project Description:
SR580 and SR583 traverse the aging central business district of Temple Terrace. The State roads are overcrowded, outdated in their design, pedestrian unfriendly, and, in short are the primary detriment to the successful redevelopment of Temple Terrace, as identified by 13 developers in 2004. The multi-phased plan to improve these roadways envisions the construction of 18 foot medians, new intersection signalization, improved pedestrian crossings, wider sidewalks, access management improvements, and landscaping.
