Project Description:
The Seymour Gelber Adult Day Care Center provides a supportive environment for memory and physically impaired seniors. This Program is in dire need of a new bus, as it currently must contract with an outside transportation provider to bring clients to the Adult Day Care Program. If it could provide its own transportation, the Gelber Center could allocate the funds it spends on transportation to direct care services.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The bus will transport seniors to and from the Adult Day Care Center and provide 4,000 one-way trips to elderly clients every year. The anticipated useful life of a bus is 5 years. Therefore, over the five year period nearly 20,000 one-way trips will be provided.
