Project Description: |
This initiative seeks to construct several algal turf scrubbing water quality treatment systems adjacent to water bodies which currently discharge into the Indian River Lagoon (IRL) an Estuary of National Significance and a St Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) Surface Water Improvement and Management (SWIM) program priority water body. The resulting water quality improvements will also protect public health by removing pollutants from surface water bodies that are extensively used by the public for recreational purposes such as swimming, fishing and other work related activities. |
|
Is this a project related to a federal or state declared disaster? |
