Statewide Interest:
Public access to waterways is a statewide challenge and has tremendous potential impact (positive or negative) to Florida's tourist industry. The project would be the first-of-its-kind such facility in Escambia County, and would serve as a model for other county and state projects. The project is supported by a standing Marine Advisory Committee to the Board of County Commissioners.
