Project Description:
The PACE Center for Girls has 22 program sites across FL. The budget request is to add a new 45-girl program in Lee County. Girls will be referred for services at the PACE center based on their individual needs, including risks of involvement in juvenile crime, and documented school failure. PACE Centers across the state provide gender specific programming to adolescent females. The program services include academic classes and therapeutic programming including counseling and vocational services.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The creation of a PACE center for Southwest Florida in 2006-2007, which would mean lower recidivism rates for juvenile offenders in SWFL.
