| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| The city is intensely committed to upgrading and enhancing its emergency use and response infrastructure. In this event of an emergency, it is mandatory that local government has the ability to respond. Some basic elements to our strategy is the installation of standby emergency generators at each public building with an adequate fuel supply to run each for a minimum of a week. It is also important to reestablish a central emergency siren system with a standby generator to warn residents of pending emergencies, since power grid based public warning and information systems will be useless when the grid is damaged and fails. |
