Project Description:
Provides an additional $450,000 over Fiscal Year 2005-2006 for services to children in need of Baker Act Services in time of crisis. Emergency crisis response and intervention is needed in addition to Baker Act crises stabilization beds. Without this additional funding, children would be waiting several days in hospital emergency rooms for an open CSU bed while on Baker Act services. This situation is unsafe for children and prevents treatment that is statutorily required.
