Project Description:
Acquisition of the project site represents the fulfillment of helping to provide a critical connection of a greenway and trail network that has garnered extensive community wide support, and will preclude a multifamily development that would forever prevent this linkage. There is only one opportunity to complete the greenway in a seamless network and the project site in its entirety will provide this - there is no alternate route possible. The property owners have been a willing participant in the effort to turn the project site into a park and greenway connection on the sites northern boundary. Without this easement, the project site would be bordered by a row of backyards, making the only access available off Palm Harbor parkway (a privately owned property).
