¹218.70  Popular name.--This part may be cited as the "Local Government Prompt Payment Act."

¹Note.--Section 16, ch. 2005-230, provides that "[n]either the amendments to sections 95.11, 218.70, 218.72, 218.735, and 255.071, Florida Statutes, and subsection (2) of section 255.05, Florida Statutes, as provided in this act, nor subsection (10) of section 255.05, Florida Statutes, and section 255.078, Florida Statutes, as created by this act, apply to any existing construction contract pending approval by a local governmental entity or public entity, or to any project advertised for bid by the local governmental entity or public entity, on or before October 1, 2005."
