1171.091 Recording.—Any change in the municipal boundaries through annexation or contraction shall revise the charter boundary article and shall be filed as a revision of the charter with the Department of State within 30 days. A copy of such revision must be submitted to the Office of Economic and Demographic Research along with a statement specifying the population census effect and the affected land area.

1Note.—Section 14, ch. 2011-14, provides that “[t]his act shall take effect upon becoming a law, and those portions of this act which were amended or created by chapter 2009-96, Laws of Florida, shall operate retroactively to June 1, 2009. If such retroactive application is held by a court of last resort to be unconstitutional, this act shall apply prospectively from the date that this act becomes a law.”
