SECTION 441
Pest Control Trust Fund.

570.441 Pest Control Trust Fund.—

(1) The Pest Control Trust Fund shall be administered by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

(2) Funds to be credited to and uses of the trust fund shall be administered in accordance with chapter 482.

(3) Notwithstanding s. 216.301 and pursuant to s. 216.351, any balance in the trust fund at the end of a fiscal year shall remain in the trust fund at the end of the year and be available for carrying out the purposes of the trust fund.

¹(4) In addition to the uses authorized under subsection (2), moneys collected or received by the department under chapter 482 may be used to carry out the provisions of s. 570.44. This subsection expires June 30, 2024.

A. Section 78, ch. 2020-114, amended subsection (4) “[i]n order to implement Specific Appropriations 1443 through 1452 of the 2020-2021 General Appropriations Act.”

B. Section 110, ch. 2020-114, provides that “[i]f any other act passed during the 2020 Regular Session of the Legislature contains a provision that is substantively the same as a provision in this act, but that removes or is otherwise not subject to the future repeal applied to such provision by this act, the Legislature intends that the provision in the other act takes precedence and continues to operate, notwithstanding the future repeal provided by this act.” Section 78, ch. 2020-114, amended subsection (4) solely to change the June 30, 2020, expiration date to July 1, 2021. Section 4, ch. 2020-135, amended subsection (4) solely to change the June 30, 2020, expiration date to June 30, 2024.
