CS/SB 1216: Reimbursement for Incarceration
GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Crist
Reimbursement for Incarceration; requires state correctional facility, or DOC acting in its behalf, to seek reimbursement for costs of incarceration for prisoner which have not been reimbursed as otherwise provided by law; provides for deduction of costs from prisoner's cash account, placement of lien against account or prisoner's other personal property, or reimbursement from proceeds of prisoner's insurance policy, etc. Amends 944.485.
