CS/SB 1328: Capital Collateral Representation

GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Burt

Capital Collateral Representation; deletes requirement that specifies time for capital collateral regional counsel to commence representation of person sentenced to death; requires that executive director of Administration of Justice Commission in Capital Cases maintain registry of attorneys in private practice who are available to be appointed to represent defendants in proceedings; creates Legislative Reform of Judicial Administration Commission, etc. Amends Ch. 27. APPROPRIATION: $500,000.
