CS/HB 1397: Assault & Battery/Security Officers

GENERAL BILL by Law Enforcement & Public Safety ; Rodriguez-Chomat ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Fasano

Assault & Battery/Security Officers; adds certain licensed security officers for purposes of reclassified offenses; authorizes enhanced penalties for offenses of knowingly committing assault or battery, or aggravated assault or aggravated battery, upon said security officers; authorizes minimum terms of imprisonment for certain battery offenses against said officers; ranks said new offenses, etc. Amends 784.07, 921.0022; reenacts 985.212(1)(b), 775.0877(1), 943.051(3)(b).
