CS/SB 1560: Judicial Nominating Commissions
GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Cowin ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dudley
Judicial Nominating Commissions; deletes requirement that three members of each commission be appointed by six other members; provides for appointment by Attorney General of three members to each commission; provides that racial & gender diversity should be considered in selecting commission members; provides that membership should reflect geographic diversity of territorial jurisdiction of commission when feasible. Amends 43.29.
