CS/SB 378: Civil Actions
GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Webster
Civil Actions; revises provisions re claims for punitive damages in civil actions; requires clear & convincing evidence of gross negligence or intentional misconduct to support recovery of such damages; prohibits award of subsequent punitive damages against defendant if such damages were previously awarded against defendant for harm rising out of same act or single course of conduct, etc. Amends Ch. 768.
