SB 1024: Higher Education
GENERAL BILL by Silver ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Saunders ; Diaz de la Portilla
Higher Education; requires State Board of Education to adopt by rule uniform procedures to be implemented when student athlete is arrested for crime; provides for graduate or post-baccalaureate professional educational expenses to be waived for children of officers killed in line of duty; creates Higher Educational Facilities Financing Authority; provides for loans from revenue bonds to participating institutions, etc. Amends 112.19, 196.012. APPROPRIATION: $250,000.
