CS/SB 1026: Florida Retirement System

GENERAL BILL by Governmental Oversight and Productivity ; Silver ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Latvala ; Bronson ; Burt

Florida Retirement System; prescribes method for calculating average final compensation; provides that members employed in regularly established position shall be vested after 5 yrs. of creditable service; provides that any terminated, inactive member must be actively employed in covered position for 1 calendar yr. or more on or after bill's effective date to achieve vested status with 5 yrs. of service; provides funding of 1999 actuarial experience study, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $1,550,000.
