CS/SB 1992: Workers' Compensation
GENERAL BILL by Banking and Insurance ; King
Workers' Compensation; excludes work done by state prisoners & county inmates from definition of employment; excludes employees covered under Defense Base Act from payment of benefits; provides for electronic payment of compensation payments; requires judges of compensation claims to consider interests of worker & worker's family when approving settlements of worker's compensation claims; exempts local government self-insurance funds from premium tax, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $26,400,000.
